For those of you that are concerned about Chronic Wasting Disease in the venison you purchase from us, we at Shaffer Venison want to assure you that we are taking precautions to insure that all of our products are safe. All the deer processed at our plant have their brain stems sent to the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture and tested for CWD. CWD has not been found in Pennsylvania, but we choose to have every animal processed in our plant tested for CWD to insure that the products we sell to our cutomers are safe.
